ASC is a veteran owned and operated network for national security, defense, and critical technologies. We bring you a small number of engagements that genuinely match your background (rather than a steady stream of requests you were never the right person to answer), with prompt payment, little to no screening burden, and a community that treats your experience with the discretion and respect it deserves.
We confirm that the project we believe you're a fit for is one you're a fit for, asking only for three or four confirmatory sentences.
Let us know when you're free in the week ahead, in whatever form is easiest for you.
A brief review to confirm there are no conflicts of interest or issues that would preclude the engagement.
A focused conversation with the client, on a topic squarely within your experience.
Payment follows the call: no invoices to chase and no forms to complete.
The measure of a good call isn't how it starts; it's how you feel walking away from it.
We stay focused: national security, defense, critical technologies. Every match is guided by operators with real industry experience, so you're contacted for work that genuinely fits your background, and never probed for anything you shouldn't be sharing.
We take the time to get to know you, so we won't ask you to answer questions you've answered before. Your responses come pre-drafted for review (time back in your day, spent on the work instead of the paperwork).
After each call you can receive specific, private pointers (trim a long answer here, add a market-sizing estimate there). Stronger calls lead to more of them, and to higher earnings over time. Insight you keep, never a scorecard shared with anyone.
Your insights are shared with the client you engage with, not packaged into a library others can buy access to. Your expertise isn't resold, so what makes you valuable stays that way.
Participation raises real questions about what's permissible, what's appropriate, and who's on the other side of the call. Here's how we approach it.
With the right approvals, no. Our clients do not expect or want classified, proprietary, or otherwise restricted information. We work with you to keep any participation well within the bounds of what's permissible under your obligations.
That's completely normal, and expected. We'll walk you through it, offer documentation and support, and help you make a fully informed decision. You can always decline to answer a question during an engagement.
That depends on your role and your contract. In many cases, informal conversations about your general knowledge or past roles don't require approval. If you're unsure, we'll support you in routing it through the proper channels.
Clients are vetted and reminded before every call that they may not seek confidential or classified information. We will never ask you to cross that line, and you can end a call at any point if you're uncomfortable.
Through our own networks, trusted connections, and referrals. We engage experts on the strength of their holistic background across education, government, and the private sector, not on their current role or clearance level.
Clients come to us with a clearly defined problem or an area they want to understand more deeply. We engage the network to find relevant experience, then screen for relevance, conflicts of interest, and ethical considerations before any call takes place.
Most are brief, one-off calls. Clients are after the kind of insight you might share at a conference or vendor day: a view on an investment thesis, or on a product's usability, scalability, or likely adoption. Everything exchanged is open, unclassified, and non-role-specific.
No. Your experience is your preparation. We'll give you the context you need on the engagement, and the conversation stays within the areas you already know well.
We can't guarantee that everyone will be authorized to participate, but we can guarantee that we'll help you navigate the process with honesty, professionalism, and respect for the rules that govern your role.
Everything we do relies on publicly available, unclassified, ITAR/EAR-compliant conversations. Your insights remain yours (shared only with the client you engage with, never posted to a publicly accessible transcript library). Your contact information and resume stay inside the network, and you decide which engagements you take.
A trusted referral from an existing ASC expert moves through an expedited path: the trust chain has already done much of the vetting.
